Ross does a good job of clearly laying out the case for the need to change not only the way we do church in changing times but the way we structure it, as well.
The book was well written, informative, and very helpful as our church looks at different models of organizational leadership.
If you are a stakeholder in the life of your congregation; and you think the congregation's life and mission are struggling or in jeopardy of dying; this is the book for you. Read it, retread it and use it as your guide.
Some rehashing of other secular organizational theories of the 90s, could use more simplified steps for smaller churches of 50-75 members.
Great book for pastors and laity.
Great resource for a small church administrator. Gives many good idea for operating and maintaining a small church.
A good resource for church council and single board governance in the UMC.
